About Me:

Well ... About me.... I have been married for 13 years now (August 6, 04) and have three girls and a boy, ages 12, 8, and 3. We were surprised with pregnancy number four. He was born a little early on October 15. I stay in touch with some classmates by email or phone mainly, just haven't had the time for anything else as of late.

What do you do?

I am currently working as the Office Manager at the Progress Times. I finally started going to school 2 1/2 years ago and have already gotten an Associate of Arts in Business. I am currently doing online classes at Univeristy of Phoenix to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications. I will be receiving that degree in about two years. I plan on continuing my education with another bachelor degree and then hopefully a masters after that and so on. Hopefully english and journalism are in the future depending on what online classes are offered when I get done with this degree program. I love the field that I am in, but I want to be more involved in it, writing it instead of formatting, editing or typesetting it. I also want to be more involved with the city and school district. My current class has made me pose more interest in mass media and communications. We shall see what the future holds for me.

Comp USA closing its doors.

Well it looks like CompUSA is closing its doors. THe employees here have been told that they will no longer have jobs after about 6 weeks. They are sending merchandise from the other stores down here to sell/liquidate. They are already marking stuff down. The first things with discounts this week has been mainly Apple stuff. The closer they get to closing though, the bigger discounts there will be. Daniel says he has seen stuff go as far down as 80% off when a store did this in the past. Dani

Just an FYI

Chris Bartels's grandmother passed away this morning. The funeral may not be until next week though because they are bringing her body down from up near Dallas to have the funeral here. I will be calling Chris or his mom this afternoon to see if I can get in touch with one of them and find out anymore details. They should be in town by this weekend if not sooner.

At 2:00pm on October 20, 2007, Carina said…: I signed the paper for them to do so before they cut me open and I answered yes when they asked me if I wanted it done before they stitched me up. So I am hoping they got it all straightened out. My doctor was disappointed he didn't get to deliver (he wasn't the one on call, the other doc in the office was, and since that doc was already at the hospital that morning delivering some other babies he told my doc to just man the office and take care of patients there) so it does have me thinking a bit about how do I make sure that it got done and whatnot. But I did make it clear that I wanted it to be done. My doc is sure that everything was taken care of.

At 4:00pm on October 19, 2007, Carina said…: Just to let everyone know.... William Anthony was born by c-section (he was but first) on Monday, October 15, at 9:25 am. He came in weighing 7 lbs. and 13.6 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. He has a head of very dark hair and is a very pretty baby. He is very quiet and only fusses when he needs his diaper changed or I take too long to get him his bottle. We are home now and trying to relax a bit before I start school again on 11/6.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
