Ok....time to gripe..... And if i wasnt trying to keep this blog family friendly, you'd be eyeballin' every four letter word in the book.... I'll keep it as tame as i can... in the words of the text messaging generation.... WTF?

Two things i HATE... wind - rain. Put them together, and I'M REALLLLLLY peeved. Not too bad on the rain lately, but the WIND?!? OMG! Someone take a board and beat me with it. Two weeks before the car show... wind every f'in day. One week before the car show - we're looking for funnel clouds. Day before the car show? WE are MAJORLY in a panic. Kirk calls all the vendors and tells them to be prepared for gale force winds... lol. Day of the car show? BEAUTIFUL!!!! NO WIND!!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!! Day after the car show? My lawn furniture is in my neighbors yard and my dog is looking at me with pitiful eyes and droopy ears....."MOM.... HELP me.... i'm a prop in TWISTER." DRAT.

>>>>>Wind.... and the Stock Show<<<<<<<<<

The only negative about the car show, is that it falls right around Livestock Show time... Well, i've lived here all my life, and i can't remember ever missing the Livestock Show. So we packed up everyone and went to the show on the LAST day (which i HIGHLY recommend - NO CROWDS). Mark, Mindy, Kirk, and his kiddos Taylor and Haleigh. Kids are GREAT cover at carnivals and animated movies, and since i don't have any of my own, i just borrow Kirk's so i can look like a complete idiot playing carnival games and acting goofy. If it wouldn't hurt so dang bad the next day I'd have ridden every ride :) "Hey...... it's for the kids....." uh... yeah. dork..... i don't think i fooled anyone. Not even the kids. DAMN.

So back to the wind.... HOLY GEEZ! They couldn't even operate some of the rides at the carnival! Not to mention i looked like PigPen from Charlie Brown.... I was COVERED in dirt and had a dustbowl following me! If you remember, i said i hated two things... make that THREE.... wind - rain - DIRT. Now i don't mind working in the garden, or getting dirty when i'm cleaning the garage.... but FRIKKIN BLOWING DIRT? Hitting me at lightning speed? I DON'T THINK SO. I was windblown, and tired, and dirty, but i wouldn't trade that day for anything. It was a BLAST. I should say, I'm baffled that after two showers, i'm still cleaning dirt out of my ears... and i'm STILL really TIRED of wind.

Thanks for letting me vent.....

Until next time.... stay out of the wind... and keep yourself safe

Amen. You can't even open a door without it flying out of your hands. Or alternatively, tying to shut a door against the wind.

Finally, I had my hair combed when I left home. Now I have a mess.
